Manchester United left-back Alex Telles was found to be positive for the coronavirus test, the team confirmed early this morning.
Telles, who joined United from Porto with a reported £ 15.4 million transfer fee earlier this month, made his first appearance when he beat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League last week.
The 27-year-old has now missed two games, including when his side beat RB Leipzig 5-0 at Old Trafford earlier this morning.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed after the match that Telles tested positive for COVID-19 but was in good shape.
“Telles was positive for coronavirus, so he will be sidelined for a few days,” he told a news conference.
“She is not experiencing any symptoms, so she will be back to health soon.”
Leading the Group H Champions League Group H chart but ranked 15th in the English Premier League (EPL), United will look forward to Arsenal’s visit this weekend.
