LONDON: Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti says he expects Manchester City to win the Premier League after Pep Guardiola’s men beat his side 3-1 to lead the league with a 10-point advantage.
Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva found a target at Goodison Park for City to extend their Premier League record to 17 games in a row.
“It is difficult to mention other names at this time. They are in the best performance, have confidence and strength.
“We tried to play more physically but it was difficult against Rodrigo, (Ruben) Dias and (Aymeric) Laporte,” Ancelotti said when asked if his team had been beaten by the champions.
Everton, who are currently seventh in the league, scored the equalizer in the first half through Richarlison.
Guardiola, on the other hand, is satisfied with the performance of his men who are now close to grabbing the third title in four seasons.
“We have quality at the forefront but it always comes through deliveries.
“We need to be more patient, it was proven during the second goal. We need to try to put the striker in a better position,” Guardiola said.
In another league action, Fulham missed the chance to collect full points as Burnley bounced back to tie them 1-1.
