Arsenal Advanced To Europa League Semi-finals

PRAGUE: Arsenal scored three goals in six minutes in the first half to advance to the Europa League semi-finals after beating hosts Slavia Prague 4-0 here, just moments ago.

Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette and Bukayo Saka found the target from the 18th to 24th minutes before Lacazette blasted home his second goal in the second half for a 5-1 aggregate victory.

Arsenal will face Spanish club Villareal in the semi -finals which start on April 29.

The Gunners need to win the Europa League to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

“I’m happy to see the approach of the players in this match and how brave they are.

Slavia are without center -back Ondrej Kudela, who was suspended for 10 games for insulting Glasgow Rangers player Glen Kamara in a Europa League match last March.

Slavia, who knocked out Leicester City in the early stages of the knockout stages and led the Czech Republic league by 16 points, made four changes throughout the game but failed to spark a resurgence.
