LIVERPOOL: Jurgen Klopp has denied rumors he will leave Liverpool after insisting: “I do not need a break.”
The German is predicted to be the next Premier League manager to resign after a 3-1 defeat to Leicester.
The Reds lost their third consecutive league game at King Power with Klopp concluding that their efforts to defend their title are now over.
The 53-year-old operator faced a difficult moment in his personal life with a COVID-19 ban preventing him from attending his mother’s funeral.
Liverpool supporters put up a banner in support of Klopp outside Anfield while he himself insists he is ready to face the challenge of changing the club’s fate.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League meeting against RB Leipzig, the former Borussia Dortmund boss admitted he was full of energy.
Klopp joked: “Am I being fired or am I leaving the club myself? I don’t have to rest.
“We are facing a difficult time, the time is long and we face it as a family, 100 percent.
“I know about both (banners and rumors).
“The banner is good, I don’t think I need special support at the moment but it’s good. I don’t need a break.”
