MANCHESTER: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was a little disappointed with United’s poor performance failing to build rhythm after a 2-0 win in neighbors Manchester’s Europa League clash against AC Milan which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Norwegian admitted that United’s fate will depend on a good performance in the second leg in Milan next week.
United were tied 1-1 by AC Milan when they conceded an equalizer late in the game.
Solskjaer, however, praised United teenager Amad Diallo who became more confident after scoring his first goal for the club.
When United performed poorly at Old Trafford, the 18 -year -old, who replaced the injured Anthony Martial in the first half, clearly shone.
“He’s creative. He plays freely,” Solskjaer said.
“A good pass by Bruno (Fernandes) certainly helped the goal. Amad, he used to play there, but it was a good goal. He has a lot to learn and he will get better after this.”
