Football action in Spain has been postponed since March 12 due to an outbreak of Covid-19. Players in the top two divisions can only go back to training individually in early May, after undergoing a screening test for the outbreak.
“From June 8, La Liga will be back. Spanish football has a lot of followers but it’s not the only sporting event to come back to,” Sanchez said.
Five players from the top two divisions tested positive for the outbreak and were quarantined before the first phase of group training began May 18. The La Liga side have 11 games left, with Barcelona leading two points ahead of Real Madrid.
