LONDON: Wolves created three wins in four Premier League games when Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier gave the hosts a 1-0 victory just now.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad took full advantage in the second half at Molineux when Adama Traore’s attempt hit the crossbar and bounced on Meslier before hitting the goal.
Leeds struggled to equalize but Mateusz Klich’s attempt hit the crossbar and Patrick Bamford’s goal was disallowed for offside.
The Wolves are now rising above Leeds to 11th after continuing their good performance while Leeds have lost three of their last four league games.
“Players like Adama, when they get the ball and start running, it is very dangerous, it is a beautiful attempt,” said Nuno. “It was a difficult moment for their goalkeeper.
“We still have problems to solve but our approach during this difficult period is to always believe, always be committed.
“You can say anything about the player’s character. We pursue the high level we have and let it continue.”
